My best friend's wedding.

When your best friend gets married and you are a designer, you are more or less contractually obligated to design any and all the things she may need. (Let's be honest, it's kind of nice to have a built-in wedding gift!) Leona and Nathaniel have been part of my life for more than half of it and I was so incredibly blessed and elated to watch them get married, to be a part of the day, and to design their stationary, programs, and other necessities.

On a beautiful May Day weekend, guests wearing white and adorned with paper flower crowns, celebrated spring and love at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis. Inspired by the painted puppets and vibrant colors of Minneapolis' May Day celebration, I painted flowers with tempera paint, scanned, and then digitally collaged the elements into various bouquets and ornaments.

Congratulations, dear friends!
